  : This experience was an absolute nightmare - I should have known from the start w/ the sketchy post-reservation incident; After paying in full on Booking.com I was contacted by the unit's management threatening to cancel because they didn't rent to locals & couldn't accomodate us (we live 2.5 hrs away on the Gulf Coast) - and after proving that with ID's & other unnecessary items, they kept the reservation. I wanted out of this situation right then and there, but my girlfriend, who picked this unit for her Birthday wouldn't have it (oh boy did she regret that). She's been battling a rare heart condition for years & spent most of 2020 indoors- so we wanted to go away for her bday, just us, in a safe space that we could hang out, watch movies, swim, & enjoy the views.(1) ACCESS: Upon arrival, getting keys is very difficult, no parking while trying to get them, you'll climb floor 25-34 by stairs, also no pool keys (had to page bartender to let us in every time) (2) CONDITION: the unit is not in great shape, stains on living room rug, burns/stains on couch, curtains damaged, old cooking utensils, plumbing is poor,no heat in spa, tennis courts have been abandoned (3) THE BAD: I paid for 3 nights (min num of nights you must stay), we left after 2 nights! On the day of my gfriend's bday we went swimming after lunch time & came back to our unit about an hr later to nap -when we got to our front door, it was wide open -plain as day, my girlfriend starts panicking- so I walk in & the bathrm near the front door is steamed up. Seriously! The mirror is completely steamed & the tub was used (also note, this is the downstairs bathrm that we hadn't used), so I called security (was helpful) & called the host (wasn't helpful), so we packed & drove home. I left an entire night on the table & her bday was ruined. How could we relax after that?
