Showtime Motel

Very Nice

: This place is so sketchy, surrounded by barbed wire and security cameras. You have to sign a form saying you won’t engage in prostitution and there are signs everywhere saying no guests are allowed and that cops frequent the place and violators will be prosecuted. There is no security latch or lock on the doors. There is no latch or lock to keep the bathroom door shut and it slides open. The room was filthy, full of debris and stains on the walls, shower, comforter, and sheets. The TV was broken and had a bright white light that flashed annoyingly. There was barely any water, just a trickle with no water pressure, and you could choose between freezing cold or scalding hot. The mattress was at least triple wrapped in uncomfortable hot crinkly mattress protectors. There was a microwave sitting in the parking lot for guest use next to a sign prohibiting hotel guests from loitering. We were somehow the only guests staying there the night we showed up, and paid way too much for the experience. I couldn’t sleep and we left feeling disgusting and should have just slept in our car instead. I don’t know why anybody would stay here or how they are in business, they are likely some kind of front.

: Hotel was clean and had newer renovations, the location was great! Close to Universal Studios and city walk. The staff were nice, took the time to walk us to our room.

: For the price and location the Motel was great. We came out here to go to Universal Studios. Drove for over 5 hours and just wanted to sleep. The gentleman at the window was very nice and even gave us 2 mini bottles of water. He walked us to the room to explain the how the motion sensor on the light worked. Since the room is right on the street, we were provided ear plugs. This was very considerate as they didn't have to. Also the room had a refrigerator and at the main check in window they offered a microwave as needed. So for the simple fact that they are trying to be accommodating while still being a Motel was cute. I would definately stay again for what it's worth. If you are looking for more than a bed don't bother..... but if you truly just want a place to crash with a few little options then cool.
