  : On the positive side, the location of The Tryst Hotel was fantastic. The property is right on the beach, which made for beautiful views and easy access to the ocean. The size of the hotel was perfect—not too big, not too small. Plus, it was within walking distance of a pharmacy and several restaurants, which was really convenient once we discovered them.
  : The front desk staff was not welcoming at all—no greeting, not even a smile. We weren’t informed about any amenities, nearby restaurants, or activities. For someone new to Puerto Rico, a flyer or brochure about the local area would have been really helpful. The hotel had a bar on the main floor, right on the beach, but we weren’t sure if it was just a bar or a bar/restaurant. There was no explanation of what was on-site, not even if breakfast was available. My sister only discovered the free coffee by chance when she saw a pot at the desk one morning.
