  : Booked reservations in June 2023. A few months later I received notification that the hotel changed from one brand to Spark by Hilton but that my reservation was not affected. Received a message on booking.com 3 days prior to stay saying they were looking forward to welcoming me. Arrived at the hotel on the day of my booking (April 16, 2024), and the hotel was not open and very clearly under construction. There was a sign saying ‘coming soon Spark by Hilton’. Very disappointing that I was not notified and they didn’t cancel my reservation because the hotel was not operational. It left me scrambling to find another room in a short amount of time. Booking.com did cancel the reservation without any charge, but both Spark by Hilton and booking.com should do better and notify guests of hotel closures! Maybe the hotel was expected to be open by then, but it most certainly wasn’t!

  : The hotel was closed. It was derelict and no one has stayed there for three months. It’s been so stressful trying to find someone else to stay!!!

  : To: booking.comQuality InnI recently made reservations at at Quality Inn Opryland Area through Booking.com. The reservation dates were Thursday September 28-Sunday Oct.1. The cost was to be $396.41 booking number 2228925286. I used Booking.com for this reservation because I have used it on the past and been very. satisfied with my reservations.A friend and I drove to Nashville on Thursday and called the Quality Inn to let them know that we would be arriving later than expected. We were told that our reservation had been cancelled because of renovations being done at the hotel! Quality Inn did not offer to help us find other reservations and told us that we should call Booking.com. the phone number connected with Booking.com was for Quality Inn!We had no alternative but to call and find another hotel! It was early evening and we needed to find a place to stay.We called several places to find something we could afford and made reservations at the Comfort Inn Nashville, Opryland Area. The price was $590.26. A difference of almost $200! But the best we could do at the time.On Sept 25 I received a confirmation from Quality Inn for the reservation with some information about the hotel.I also received a confirmation from Booking.com on Aug. 31. I had no idea that there would be a problem.I am very disappointed in both Booking.com and Quality Inn. Both failed to live up to expectations. Someone should have been willing to find or get us a room at the same price. I use Booking.com because it presents itself as a way to get the best prices. I chose Quality Inn because it has a reputation of being a nice clean hotel with some amenities at a fair price.It was very upsetting to spend almost $200 more than I expected. Both my friend and myself are seniors living on fixed incomes.This is very unfair and inconsiderate to us. Someone should have at least tried to remedy this situation.

  : This hotel is closed for renovations. No one mentioned it, no one emailed or called and I was charged for a room. I showed up late at night with doors locked and scrounging to find another hotel. DO BETTER
