Astoria Riverwalk Inn

Good
Traveller Type: young couple
: The location and view of the river and marina from the room and balcony. The breakfast was adequate and as expected. The room was clean and comfortable.
: The facility is a bit dated and the hardware on the drape over the sliding glass doors was bent but still could close the drapes. One of the overhead lights in the bathroom was out but not essential. The light on the wall-mounted hair dryer flickers. The breakfast area ran out of food the third day we were there!

Disappointing
Traveller Type: young couple
: Was not as advertised via pictures on the internet.
: Strong smell of Lysol when entering the room each time. Nasty fish smell outside. The original room that we were assigned had someone sleeping in the bed when we opened the door. The only reason we stayed the entire time was because it was clean and reasonably safe.

Good
Traveller Type: young couple
: Easy to find, nice location
: There was no ac so we needed to keep the sliding door open but there was no screen door so we got tons of flies in the room.

Wonderful

: I loved the balcony and being able to peacefully sit out there and watch the marina. It was very quiet! I loved how close it was to the trolley; unfortunately it was raining during our stay and the trolley was not in operation.
: It does look to need some repairs - gutters missing were noticeable.

Poor

: I liked the very efficient and nice lady that handled the breakfast food and area. She was the best!!

Poor

: The main reason we picked this accommodation was it had three separate beds. Traveling with two adolescents; they prefer their own bed.
: When we first pulled up to the property the outside appearance gave us instant dread. It was not what the pictures online depicted. The room was gross and stunk! The beds were severely uncomfortable and there were only three outlets in the whole room! The microwave was dirty and the fridge vibrated all day and night. The room was hot and humid. When we pulled out the tower fan in the closet it was full of dust and other foreign substances. We actually gave to clean the room upon arrival, had to go and buy our own fan, buy blankets for the bunk beds that were clean and air freshener. The “complimentary “ coffee and supplies were not clean and we had two packets of the silverware/sugar/stir stick open with things missing.
