Funny Farm

Fair
Traveller Type: family with young children
: We rented the studio for three nights in May. Very large and comfortable bed. Creative decor. Owner on premises, easy to reach. Private.
: As mentioned in the host's description, this is a "work in progress." The place needs maintenance. The bathroom floor was patched with sheet metal as it was rotting. The outdoor furniture on the patio adjacent to the room is not very usable as it is dirty and rusty. Dirty floor in studio. Located on route 16, rather noisy at night. We couldn't use the bikes to get to the historic city.

Disappointing
Traveller Type: young couple
: The bed was comfortable. My wife liked feeding the pig and collecting eggs from the chickens on the property. The place is very quaint.
: The TV was defective. Being so close to Hwy 16 made for a very noisy 7 day stay. Drivers racing down Hwy 16 at 3:00am sounded like the Daytona 500. The only closet smelled terrible (mold), and the heavy sliding bathroom door was dangerous to my fingers when closing. The shower has no handrails, so be very careful. We lost power a few times due to a space heater being plugged up in adjacent room. We had no access to circuit breaker. I=The owner stated he would give me a partial refund, but that never happened.
