AC Hotel Portland Downtown OR

Disappointing
Traveller Type: young couple
: Clean and close to center
: Everything was good but the impression the staff gave us seemed like they were discriminating us. They acted like we were bothering their front desk checking people in, they asked us what we were doing there and if we had a question im a very rude manner. We were maybe not wearing appropriate attire at the time because we were very tired of the long drive we had but i think that gives no reason to be rude and discriminatory towards us. After we said we were there to check in, they began to attend us in a more friendlier manner.

Pleasant

Good

: It was a good location and we enjoyed the bar.
: It was a little dated and not the cleanest. One of my teens commented on the dirt, and her room is a pit. But I think it was more a function of datedness.

: The room and hotel premises are comfortable and cozy, providing a pleasant atmosphere for guests. The location is convenient, situated near bus and train stations, making it easy to get around. The hotel also offers excellent gym facilities, perfect for maintaining fitness routines while traveling. The valet team is helpful, as are some members of the front desk staff, although not all are well-trained. Despite this, I would stay here again for its value and location.
: We experienced two days without room cleaning and refreshments. After two days, we requested it at the front desk and waited in the lobby. The front desk staff said they would notify us when the room was ready, but they did not. Some staff members are not well-prepared to assist international guests and became frustrated when explaining the security deposit process, which differs from what I am used to in my country. There was confusion regarding the issuance of my receipt for reimbursement, as they initially refused because the booking was made through Booking.com. We had to return to the hotel to resolve this. Additionally, the downtown area, where the hotel is located, unfortunately, has a significant number of drug users.
