  : The explanation for the accommodation stated: 'You can watch the canoes in the lagoon from one of 2 private balconies'. Turns out, the lagoon is on the opposite side of the apartment building and not in the least visible from the balconies. The accommodation explanation also stated: 'with a lovely view of Wailoa Park, Hilo Bay and Mauna Kea Mountain'. There was no view of Hilo Bay. I booked this condo with the understanding that I would have a view of water (lagoon, bay). Having no water view was a big disappointment. In addition, we told the owner (by text, voicemail and email) that we would be checking in at 4:00pm (the earliest check-in allowable), but did not receive access to the key box and keys until about 6:00pm. We wasted 2 hours of our vacation trying to contact the owner, even speaking with a representative of Booking.com to try and locate the owner. (Booking.com offered to find alternative, equivalent accommodation for us if the owner did not provide access by 6:00pm - I can only assume that Booking.com pressured the owner to give us access by 6:00pm, because we received the key box access code just before 6:00pm) The owner never gave us an explanation for the delayed access and, even worse, never apologized for putting us in a very stressful and frustrating situation or for making us waste our vacation time.
