  : It's a beautiful location with views of the rolling hills of Fredericksburg/Crap Apple. The cabin itself is super-cute, was extremely clean and smelled like brand new pine wood, even though it seems to have been around/in use since early 2018. The rooms were a good size and the beds were really comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the porch which faces the valley below. The amenities were pretty awesome and allowed us to cook all our meals (looove that mini outdoor grill!!) and relax in the beautiful environment in a really well-equipped cabin. The owner(s) thought of everything, so we were supremely comfortable to the point that it felt like we were in our own home. We had our dog with us and took her on some long walks that she thoroughly enjoyed. We even made s'mores using the fire pit that's located not too far away, which added to making the weekend getaway even more special and enjoyable.
  : The cabin is literally in the middle of nowhere and a lot farther away from the nearest activity/general store than we'd expected. The area is heavily wooded with no street lights on the road to the cabin, so I highly advise arriving during the day because trying to find your way at night would be quite difficult, not to mention scary. We did have a couple encounters - late the first night we were there, a strange car drove into the yard for our cabin and we got really scared, even when it drove out a few minutes later and drove up the road to the other cabin next door. We felt totally unprotected and defenseless, so sleeping that first night was tough. Then our last day there we came back from hanging out in Fredericksburg to find the deadbolt to the front door unlocked and a box of pizza in the fridge that we most certainly did not buy or put there. So of course, we got really freaked out. We called the provided contact number and were immediately put onto the property manager who assured us she'd look into it. She was really helpful and got back to us quickly with updates, but was unable to provide any explanation for what happened or who the "culprit" could be. So, once again, while the entire time we spent there we didn't feel unsafe, moments like these 2 were scary and made for some lost sleep.
