Extended Stay America Suites - Anchorage - Midtown

Very Poor
Traveller Type: family with young children
: It's smelt so bad in there. I literally threw up just walking down the hall. Once I got to my room the smell was just as bad. We checked in late 10pm and didn't have any other option but to stay the night. Lucky my friends we were visiting had air freshener we borrow and it masked the smell a tad bit. The facilities and room was run down as well. It was not a great experience. I couldn't handle staying another night in there and we booked elsewhere. I would avoid this place at all costs!

Good
Traveller Type: young couple
  : Small parking

Poor
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
: Slept well, clean bed. Gave us water.
: Misunderstandings by staff. They did not read our notes or requests. Entered early to clean, they thought we were checked out. Then they told us we were supposed to be gone at 9 am.

Very Poor
Traveller Type: Solo Traveler
: It was clean but very run-down and smelled like bleach and cigarettes.
: This hotel was gross and seemed like a homeless shelter rather than a hotel. I took a bunch of pictures as evidence. There were vagrants smoking outside at all hours, no art on the walls, the dressers were all broken, bath didn't drain. Just gross.

Disappointing
Traveller Type: review category business travellers

Pleasant
Traveller Type: solo traveller
: I needed this room solely for a bed to sleep in and a shower. It was quite basic but the staff was kind and the room decent enough. I was actually quite impressed with the towel quality!
: It could use a deep clean - the hallways and elevators need a good wipe down and clean all the corners and trim.

Poor
Traveller Type: young couple
: unremarkable. shoped in town and ate in our room.
: proper cleaning of room. better staff at desk completely rude. the GM was much better to deal with . staff intered my room at 9pm .without consent while gone . Smelled like a Meth Lab at 830pm - 600am . in the hallway to our room eyes burning bad. had to use towels AROUMD OUR DOOR to block the stench... of pure ammonia . staff unwilling to do the right thing. about it . and evict the perpetrators. very complicite in this it seems . a naked women running the hall. and a man beating on doors at 12 midnite .avoid this place at all costs. Unless you want to sleep wondering if the room across the hall is going to blow up in the middle of the night. crazyest place ive ever spent in my life. and ive circumnavigated the globe. I HAVE PICTS OF THE FILTHY BED AS WELL . WHEN TALKING TO DESK STAFF ,WAS TOLD TO GO ELSE WHERE IF I DIDNT LIKE IT.THAT ALL ROOMS WHERE LIKE THIS. UUGGG. HARD TO DO AT LATE NITE CHECK IN . SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A REFUND . NEVER AGAIN
